Im very excited to offer a limited edition of 6 color Spectrum Watercolor Paint Sets made by hand from homegrown plants and all natural ingredients. Each color has made a journey from seed to paint through my hands over seasons, with some colors requiring multiple years to make (hello homegrown madder root patience!)
These watercolor sets would make a wonderful gift for an artistic loved one or a wonderful way to treat yourself with natural color therapy. All paints are made with homegrown dyestuffs mulled with an all natural hand blended medium of gum arabic, organic honey, distilled water, plant glycerin & a dash of tea tree oil.

Each watercolor set comes with a color card, stainless steel case with magnetic paint pans, iron salt for color modification, instructions for use and a wool felt cover.

Colors are comprised of the following plants:
 

-BLUE- Japanese Indigo
-GREEN- Japanese Indigo & Cannabis/Weld
-YELLOW- Cannabis/Weld -or- Marigold/Weld -or- Eucalyptus/Weld
-ORANGE- Orange Cosmos
-RED- Madder Root
-PURPLE- Madder Root & Japanese Indigo

Botanical watercolors are made with plant ‘lake pigments’ (natural dyes that have been concentrated and stabilized with alum) for the best possible lightfastness these plants can offer. Some plant extracts are less lightfast than others even in the presence of alum, so for perfect preservation of color, keep out of excessive direct sunlight, in a journal or sketchbook. Botanical watercolor art can be scanned or photographed, and plant paints make a wonderful art medium for invitations, postcards, thank you cards, etc.
